Why A Pocketwatch Is The Perfect Birthday Gift
The years seem so to go by so fast and before you know it another year has passed. My birthday is coming up soon and my daughter asked me what I would like as a birthday gift. I find there is not much I want for these days. If I like something I will usually buy it for myself so when it comes to birthdays I am a difficult person to buy for.
So, when my daughter asked me what I would like I thought for a while and then said I would appreciate a pocketwatch as a birthday present. I have always had an admiration for the old movies images of a very smart gentleman pulling out his pocketwatch to check the time. In a world where we seem to ruch around all the time it seems so appropriate that to check the time there is a moment where you can pause for a moment before withrawing a pocketwatch from your pocket and clicking the lid open.
It is not something I would buy for myself but as a birthday gift a pocket watch is perfect and I am eagerly awaiting my birthday so I can enjoy the experience.
